20世紀演劇を代表する演劇界の巨人ピーター・ブルックとマリー＝エレーヌ・エティエンヌによる”驚愕の谷”のフォトコールの写真撮影を、マリー＝ エレーヌご本人より頼まれました。これまでに観た事のない様な感動を教えてくれた素晴らしい舞台を様々な角度から体感出来た事は、私に新しい見解をもたら しました。
世界の果てに住む霊鳥を訪ねる旅を描いたアッタールの物語詩『鳥の言葉』を参照した舞台は、人間の脳の神秘、超記憶能力や共感覚を持った人々を題材に、われわれの意識に語りかけます。
それはまるで、全ての言葉と動きが観客を静寂へと導いている様な誠実な思考があり、劇場にいる人々が一体となる深い思いやりに包まれていました。

I was asked by Marie-Helene herself to take photos for the 20th century’s world most respected and visionary stage director Peter Brook and Marie-Helene Estiennes’s “The Vally of Astonishment” photocall .
This wonderful experience to see the beautiful play from different perspective gave me a new insight.
“The Valley of Astonishment” was inspired by Farid Attar’s epic mystical poem “The Conference of the Birds” .
It is a journey into the mysteries and wonders of the human brain based on true stories about extraordinary sensory and synesthesia. Every moment had genuine thoughts to one another and a deep tender connection to all the people in the theater. It was as if all the words and movements were leading the audience to silence.
